Beit Noar Registration

Beit Noar allows our students, as they grow into their more adult Jewish lives to deepen their exploration of their faith, heritage and identity.  Through programming that involves teen initiative and leadership, students become the authors of their Judaism and of their Jewish youth community.  For some students, this will mean participating in our 'traditional' Tuesday evening weekly classes. For others, the entry to Jewish teen life can involve leadership of younger students, youth group leadership, or approved independent pursuits.  A teen's choice of how to engage can change year to year and still make them eligible to celebrate their tenth grade Confirmation at Beth Am.

Students can choose their own path to Confirmation by: 

• Enrolling in Tuesday classes 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in person (Requirement for 7th graders)
• Serving as a Madrich (assisting younger classes)
• BAFTY leadership/Independent Study

*All require a $100 registration fee for all confirmation paths. 

(Please note: Confirmation (in 10th grade) is a special year with unique learning experiences and culminates in a number of ceremonial celebrations.  In order to make our meaningful Confirmation ceremony in tenth grade, there is a Confirmation fee of $800.  We charge participating families $400 in 9th grade and $400 in 10th grade to cover these costs.  If a student participates in any of the above activities and does not intend to use it as a path toward Confirmation, this fee does not apply).
