BAR MITZVAH - ZACHARY BRUSILOVSKY I decided to participate in a program for my Mitzvah project called WIN Buddies, which is a program at my middle school. WIN Buddies is something I participate in during Study Hall, where I volunteer spending my time with kids in Special Education. I really enjoy seeing how I can directly help make a difference in someone's life just by spending time with them or helping them overcome an obstacle in their path. I'm enjoying it so much that I plan on continuing to volunteer through the end of the school year.
I would like to thank everyone at Beth Am who has helped me throughout the years (since pre school!) up through helping me prepare for my Bar Mitzvah. I would also like to thank my grandmother, Bonnie Surrey, who has spent an enormous amount of time helping me perfect all of my Hebrew readings. Lastly, I'd like to thank my parents for always being there for me and pushing me towards my goals - even when I don't always want them to. Shabbat Shalom!
