Join Us at the Holocaust Memorial Plaza for International Holocaust Remembrance Day January 27, 2025 from 5:30 to 6:15pm.
We will gather at the Horwitz-Wasserman Holocaust Memorial Plaza for a brief program and candle lighting.
We will hear from Associate Deputy Mayor Jessica Shapiro, Councilmember Rue Landau, and Rabbi Chana Leslie Glazer about the importance of coming together in remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust.
This program is part of the Light It Up Yellow Initiative, led by 3G Philly. On the afternoon and evening of January 27th, building facades across Pennsylvania will be illuminated yellow in recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Please note that as the Holocaust Memorial Plaza is an outdoor space, the program will not take place in the event of extreme inclement weather, such as icy conditions or dangerously low temperatures. Current forecast predicts normal winter conditions on the day of the event, so we recommend dressing warmly.
