BAT MITZVAH - AMANDA MYERS

I’ve loved to be with and work with animals since I was little, especially cats. So, for my Bat Mitzvah project I am holding a fundraiser for Forgotten Cats. I chose Forgotten Cats, because in November of 2021 my family adopted two kittens named Princess and Sweetie from them.

Forgotten Cats even let us get them a few days earlier than planned. They were very nice people to talk to and we are glad that they gave us the chance to adopt Princess and Sweetie (who we later renamed Lily). Princess and Lily quickly became a part of our family and we have loved these two cats ever since.

Thank you to Wendy Stahler for this beautiful Schlissel Challah! There is an Ashkenazi custom to bake a key-shaped challah for the first Shabbat after Passover. Schlissel Challah is believed to be a good omen (segula) for livelihood (parnassa).

Co-manage the gift shop.

We are looking for someone who can:

Organize and maintain shop appearance
Clean and rotate merchandise, update in-window displays
Price the merchandise
Organize volunteer staffing
Has knowledge of Judaica, including what types of general, holiday, gift and home items are needed to sell
Keep inventory and order new stock if/when needed
Work with gift shop financial person submitting invoices
