BAT MITZVAH - AMANDA MYERS
I’ve loved to be with and work with animals since I was little, especially cats. So, for my Bat Mitzvah project I am holding a fundraiser for Forgotten Cats. I chose Forgotten Cats, because in November of 2021 my family adopted two kittens named Princess and Sweetie from them.
Forgotten Cats even let us get them a few days earlier than planned. They were very nice people to talk to and we are glad that they gave us the chance to adopt Princess and Sweetie (who we later renamed Lily). Princess and Lily quickly became a part of our family and we have loved these two cats ever since.
For my Bat Mitzvah you can make a monetary donation in honor of my Bat Mitzvah, directly to Forgotten Cats through this link: https://forgottencats.org/services/donate/
Or, I will be collecting the following items: -Kitten food – wet & dry -Cat food – wet & dry -Cat Carriers -Cat Litter -Cat Treats
Items can be dropped off at my mom’s shop Olive Lucy 301 Leedom Street Jenkintown, PA 19046 Tuesday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm; Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm.
I will be collecting now through the end of May. Thank you for helping me make a difference in these forgotten cats’ lives.
Thank you for supporting me in my Mitzvah Project.

Thank you to Wendy Stahler for this beautiful Schlissel Challah! There is an Ashkenazi custom to bake a key-shaped challah for the first Shabbat after Passover. Schlissel Challah is believed to be a good omen (segula) for livelihood (parnassa).
