Mazal Tov to David Lieberman. Last week the PA German Society held their 10th Bierfest, where local breweries and importers showcase German style beers. David served three beers, Little Wooden Beer, a smoked dark lager, Subterranean Rauchbock Blues, a smoked strong lager, and Helles Other Purple, a pale lager conditioned on blueberries. He received an enthusiastic reception to all of the beers and won both People's Choice and Brewer's Choice. For the Brewer's award, he will be brewing one of his beers with My Local Brew Works, which will be served at next year's Bierfest on 2/24/24 and he will also be there serving more of his homebrewed beers.
Mazal Tov to Stacey & Josh Hirsch on the birth of Rachel Liora. Rachel was born on 3/1 at 5:23 p.m. 6lbs. 9oz. 20in. Big brother Aaron is vey excited.
Thank you to the Purim committee who, helped cook, plan and decorate under the supervision of Sara Bloom, whose craftmanship and guidance led the way. The Persian feast took us on a culinary journey with the aromas and tastes of Persian cuisine.
