Mark and Rhona Gold announce the birth of their new granddaughter, Zemira Hazel Siegel-Gold, daughter of Rebecca Siegel and Daniel Gold.
Dean, Karen, and Jenna Staller are insanely proud of their son and brother, Ian K. Staller, a sailor in the US Navy since October 2017! Now stationed at NAS Lemoore in California, he has achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class and has received a commendation for his "outstanding performance" while stationed at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. PO2 Staller has been commended for "consistently demonstrating exemplary professionalism in the performance of his demanding duties. He was instrumental in the completion of [hundreds of] system checks and maintenance actions on eleven F/A-18E aircraft. His efforts led to the safe execution of [thousands of] sorties encompassing [thousands and thousands of] flight hours at a 98 percent sortie completion rate and the expenditure of [hundreds of thousands of] pounds of ordnance in support of fleet operations aboard USS Ronald Reagan. His development of junior sailors led to the qualifications of six plane captains, six release and control team members, and four final checkers. He was critical in [a] 2020 detachment and the first fleet employment of [a new] missile. Petty Officer Staller's professionalism and devotion to duty reflected credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service."
